Mr. Maciej Reluga, Chief Economist at Bank Zachodni WBK S.A. has kindly agreed to give a presentation to the Chamber on the Polish Economy on Tuesday 13th January2015, venue to be confirmed in Warsaw, at 5pm. Many of you may already know Maciej from previous years, but for those that don’t, he won an award in 2012 from Bloomberg, ranking second in the “most prescient economist in the world”. Entrance will be free for all ICC Members.
You are invited to the annual ICC Christmas Mixer at the Tortilla Factory on Thursday 18th December, starting at 7pm.
These events are great opportunities to catch up with both friends and business acquaintances alike, and to perhaps make some new ones, in a convivial, informal atmosphere. Food will be provided.
As this is my first Mixer evening as Chairman, I would particularly like to see as many of you as possible.

The Irish Chamber of Commerce in Central Europe (i-Cham CE) will be hosting a Central European technology event in conjunction with PwC in Dublin on Monday, 3rd November 2014. The event will bring together Ireland and Central European based technology companies with a view to developing new cross-border business relationships and partnerships. The event is supported by the Irish Exporters Association and Enterprise Ireland.

Trade Section of Polish Embassy in Dublin, Polish National Tourist Office in London and Medical Poland are organizing seminar on medical tourism to Poland including SPA & Wellness with a short introduction to the public and private health care system in Poland.
The main focus of the seminar will be on the medical sector in Poland, and what it can offer for Irish patients. Presentations of selected medical institutions will demonstrate the potential of Polish industry.
The Annual General Meeting of the Irish Chamber will take place on the 17th September, 5.30pm, at the Irish Embassy in Warsaw. The AGM will discuss the activities and finances of the Chamber over the last year, as well as plans for the coming year.
A feedback survey will soon be distributed to members via email, to assist in the discussion. Come along and give your input on how the Chamber can best support its members and fulfil its mission statement!
The meeting will be followed by a social Mixer - with further details to follow.
The Third annual International Group of Chambers of Commerce (IGCC) Soccer Tournament will be held on Saturday September 6th, from 12 midday. This event is free to attend.
Come and play for - or support - Team Ireland as they take on teams from Germany, Britain, The Netherlands and other national Chambers. There will also be activities for families, making this a great day out.

Taxplan are organising a briefing seminar on the latest in Polish tax affairs on Thursday 26th June, beginnig at 9am. There will be presentations to discuss some important new draft tax amendments.
This event is free for ICC members.
The International Group of Chambers of Commerce is hosting a Breakfast briefing with Polish Minister of Finance, Mr. Mateusz Szczurek on the morning of June 12th, at 8.30am.
The Event will take place at Sofitel, members of the Irish Chamber can reserve their place at the event by sending an email to Karolina Kwiatkowska.
On Tuesday, June 10th, the ICC will be hosting a business networking and social event at the residence of the Irish ambassador in Warsaw. The event will coincide with the visit of a number of companies researching opportunities in Poland and the Eastern European region, as part of an Invest Northern Ireland initiative.
The Mixer will take place between 6pm and 8pm at the Residence of the Irish Ambassador to Poland - at the kind invitation of Ambassador Eugene Hutchinson.

Cumann Warszawa and Warsaw Tortilla Factory have invited ICC members to attend their Night At The Races fundraiser on Thursday May 15th.
The event should be lots of fun with 10 races, a raffle and spot prizes and will be at Warsaw Tortilla Factory with the first race starting at 19:30. The event will be used to raise funds for an international GAA tournament to be hosted by Warsaw in June.

Our aim is to obtain an international perspective on the situation in Poland, to compare Poland to other countries, to discuss Poland’s successes and challenges in its important 2014 anniversaries: 25 years since the first free election, 15 years in NATO, and 10 years in EU. This meeting will be a great opportunity to discuss different Embassies’ initiatives and to deliberate how we could join our efforts to contribute to Poland today.
